The Homespun Magazine 2023 BOM has been designed by Natalie Bird of The Birdhouse. The Owl & Hare Hollow Quilt features beautiful applique, EPP and stitchery blocks and has been created with Natalie's gorgeous Devonstone Collection fabrics including Bluem & Grow, Birdhouse Basics and her new Owl & Hare Hollow range that features a BOM exclusive cotton linen stitchery panel and 56" wide fabric for backing! The binding is made using scraps from fabrics supplied in kit.
There are 48 blocks in total, 8 blocks published in each issue.
The stitchery and applique designs in this quilt, portray the idyllic picture of my happy place, using warm and pretty fabrics from my latest fabric collections, and beautiful Cosmo embroidery threads.
I love to do handwork, especially stitchery, applique and EPP, so of course, these are all visited in my Owl & Hare Hollow quilt, as well as simple piecing, all in a gentle, irregular, happy, scrappy looking, circular format.
