**CHRIS HAS REQUESTED PAYMENT OF $20 PER STUDENT AS SHE WILL BE SUPPLYING A PATTERN AND PRE-PRINTED FOUNDATIONS FOR BOTH BLOCKS PAYABLE TO HER IN CASH ON THE DAY.

 

RING AROUND BLOCKS REQUIREMENTS

Try your hand at two foundation pieced circles both surrounded by fussy cut scallops.

Don’t worry if you’ve not done foundation piecing before – it’s a breeze!

Make some cushions or the start of a new BOM quilt soon to be released.

 

BLOCK ONE FABRICS

10cms of two contrasting fabrics for the block circle

foundation

8” square of fabric for block centre circle

Fat quarter to half metre of fabric for the scallops

depending on the repeat of the design.

** You will need to fussy cut sixteen scallops

with the same image

30cms of medium value, small print fabric for the background square

1m freezer paper

A4 sheet of light card eg. Manila folder

 

 

 

 

BLOCK TWO FABRICS

15cms of two contrasting fabrics for the block circle

foundation

7” square of fabric for block centre circle

Fat quarter to half metre of fabric for the scallops

depending on the repeat of the design.

** You will need to fussy cut sixteen scallops

with the same image.

30cms of medium value, small print fabric for the background square

 

 

Sewing machine in good working order with open toe and ¼” foot.

General sewing supplies including fabric and paper scissors, hand sewing needle.

Rotary cutter, ruler and mat. Add-a-quarter ruler if you have one but not essential.
